Full Time Ballet School

From 8:30am until 12 the full time students study ballet. With the help of City Beach High School, they spend the next 3 hours each day studying with teachers assisting them with their Isolated and Distance education studies. (S.I.D.E) Then it is back to the studio to study their ballet for another 3 hours or more.They rehearse and tour with small performances for schools in an attempt to raise money for their future in dance. This year 2003 they are raising money to go to Sydney to compete in the Macdonald festival.

 

Perth City Ballet

Perth City Ballet is a company that auditions across Western Australia for students at different levels (depending on the selected ballet to be performed) to rehearse and perform in the new year season. These have included Sleeping Beauty, Don Quixote and A Midsummer Night's Dream in the past 3 years. They get to perform with professional dancers and actors and participate in a real company atmosphere. Rehersals for Romeo and Juliet will commence shortly.

 

Prompt Corner

Prompt Corner is a Musical Theatre group directed by Gerry Atkinson (was mentioned at the Logies) and Diana Waldron. Productions in the last 3 years have been Snugglepot and Cuddlepie, Nunsense, Fiddler on the Roof, Oliver, Pinocchio and West Side Story.
